Golden Ruins of Napa

Beautiful dusk driving into Napa Valley.

The town of Napa was visibly shaken (excuse the pun) by August 24th's earthquake. I was fast asleep in Oakland, but apparently it was the worst quake in the Bay Area since 1989 and we were surprised to see so much roped off.

At first glance, the Andaz's facade has a kind of rustic Mediterranean thing going on... then you see the missing pieces on the ground below.

This building seems older than the previous ones, but sustained less noticeable damage.

Walked in and out of this place.

 My radiant love.

Fun structures on the river walk.

 Very important.

Good night from rose at our hotel parking spot.

New Flora at Pescadero

Labor Day drive to Pescadero, about two hours South on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Ah, the sweet smell of eucalyptus.

Christmas trees in the making (and the drought continues).

 The backpacks are our metaphor.

Two photos from the town of El Pescadero.

 Driving back...
 Strange trees and, yep, dinosaurs.
